Dec 09, 2009 (newstodate): New at Irkutsk Airport is a Chinese postal carrier, China Postal Airlines.
With a first flight on December 8, 2009, the Chinese carrier has launched scheduled postal services between Tianjin, China, and Irkutsk, offering four weekly rotations with Boeing 737-300 and -400 freighter aircraft.
China Postal Airlines, set up in 1996, operates a fleet comprising nine Boeing 737-300F, two Boeing 737-300QC, and three Boeing 737-400F aircraft.
A further two Boeing 737-40 passenger aircraft are currently being converted into freighter and will join the fleet shortly.
