Dec 02, 2009 (newstodate): Russia has put several airlines on the list of state-owned enterprises that will be privatized in 2010.
Among the major airports expected to land on the list when published are Yekaterinburg Koltsovo Airport, Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport, and Anapa Airport at the Black Sea.
In January 2005, Koltsovo Airport was designated to become the Sverdlovsk region's largest airport hub, and the airport was certified earlier this year to handle Airbus A330 aircraft after completion of works on the airport's runway, new taxi ways, apron and dedicated aircraft parking stands.
Tolmachevo Airport, near Novosibirsk, has gone through a major redevelopment program including construction of a new passenger terminal, a cargo complex and construction of a second runway.
The airport is among Russia's 12 prime international airports that will attract state and regional investments securing their 365-24-7 operational status.
Anapa Vityazevo Airport, among 52 Russian airports of strategic importance, was set up in 1974 and is equipped with a 2,500 m runway.
