Dec 16, 2009 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic has announced plans for opening flights to three new destinations in summer 2010.
The new routes to be operated four times weekly will depart from Riga, Latvia, to Belgrade in Serbia from May 5, 2009, to Madrid in Spain from June 2, 2010, and to Vaasa in Finland from March 29.
The new routes will offer transit connections via Riga to and from more than 60 final destinations in Western Europe, the CIS and the Mediterranean region.
Vaasa will be served with Fokker 50 aircraft, while the three other routes will use Boeing 737 aircraft.
airBaltic operates a fleet comprising 10 Boeing 737-500, eight Boeing 737-300, two Boeing 757-200, and eleven Fokker 50 aircraft.
