Dec 07, 2009 (newstodate): Latvia scored highest on Eurostat's statistics on EU air passenger traffic in 2008, now out.
While the average increase in passenger volumes in the EU in 2008 was only 0.6 percent, y-o-y, Latvia saw its air passenger volume up by 16.8 percent.
Also scoring high were Romania and Slovakia, both up 16.3 percent, and Lithuania with 16.2 percent, while air passenger volumes in Estonia rose by 4.8 percent.
Hungary was among the markets with the the largest decreases - down 1.8 percent, y-o-y.
