Dec 15, 2009 (newstodate): China Postal Airlines, new carrier on a postal route between China and Russia, is operating Icelandic aircraft.
The Icelandic ACMI provider Bluebird Cargo has placed two Boeing 737-300F freighters on a 10-year dry-lease contract with the Chinese carrier, and they are now deployed on the new postal route since December 8, 2009, between Tianjin, China, and Irkutsk, Russia with four weekly rotations.
China Postal Airlines, set up in 1996, operates a fleet comprising nine Boeing 737-300F, two Boeing 737-300QC, and three Boeing 737-400F aircraft.
A further two Boeing 737-40 passenger aircraft are currently being converted into freighter and will join the fleet shortly.
