Dec 07, 2009 (newstodate): For the fifth month in a row, the SAS Group saw its total passenger load factor up by 1.7 percentage-point in November, to 67.2 percent.
That was, however, also the only positive figure in the traffic statistics just released.
The positive growth in load factor was driven by a cut in seat capacity by 13.5 percent, together with a 6.4 percent drop in the volume of passengers, 2.1 mio.
The yield for Scandinavian Airlines in October was down by 11.3 percent, and for November 2009, the change in yield is also expected to be negative, indicating continued yield pressure going forward.
-The market continues to be unpredictable and the uncertainty regarding the timing of the recovery is considerable, says the struggling airline in its release.
