Dec 04, 2009 (newstodate): Seven Central European states have signed a MoU for the creation of a Functional Airspace Block in Central Europe.
The MoU that brings the region closer to EU's Open Skies was signed by Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, the Slovak Republic, and Slovenia under the auspices of the minister of Transport, Post and Telecommunications of the Slovak Republic.
The text of the FAB CE Agreement should be approved by late April 2010, later on submitted to the participating governments, subsequently to national parliaments and in the end to the presidents for their ratifications.
