Dec 03, 2009 (newstodate): The Belarus Minsk International Airport will provide the nucleus of a new multi-modal logistics center.
Plans are to launch the project for the logistics center already in 2010, with the first stage to be commissioned in 2013, and the full project to be fully operational by 2021.
As a basis for the project, a second runway will be built at Minsk International Airport that currently operates one 3,641m runway.
The Belgian company AOI NV will be the prime investor and is already registered as a resident company of the Minsk Free Economic Zone.
