Dec 21, 2009 (newstodate): The Armenian carrier Armavia has unveiled ambitious plans for new routes from 2010.
On the table are preparations for trans-Atlantic flights to the USA and Canada, and other new destinations to be opened in 2010 will include Barcelona, Spain, and Warsaw, Poland.
The carrier currently operates a fleet of two airbus A310, three Airbus A319 and one CRJ200, but the planned expansions will be boosted by the entry into service of two new Sukhoi SuperJet 100 aircraft that will be handed over to the carrier by April 2010 - delayed from December and January due to the engine problems earlier reported.
The SuperJet aircraft will be introduced on the planned trans-Atlantic routes.
