Nov 05, 2009 (newstodate): The US company The American company IMTC-MEI L.L.C has emerged as the winner of the tender for a new terminal and a 30 year management contract for Ukraine's Lviv Airport.
The US company will take responsibility for upgrading the airport's existing terminal and other infrastructure, and the new terminal will be completed within six months after contracts have been signed with selected providers.
Besides the new passenger terminal, plans also comprise an extension by 700 m of the airport's existing 2,510 m runway.
In September, 2007, Lviv International Airport was transferred from state to municipal ownership, paving the road for private investors to take over the business.
