Nov 12, 2009 ()newstodate): Next spring, work will start on construction of a new passenger terminal at Ukraine's Kiev Zhulyany International Airport.
Before the end of this year, architects and civil engineers will complete the design of the new complex while the extension of the runway to 2,300 m was completed earlier this year.
During the ongoing project to upgrade the airport, the apron area has been enlarged, and the taxiway infrastructure has been modernized.
The new terminal is crucial to the airport's continued development as the current capacity limits it to handling of only one flight at a time.
