Nov 20, 2009 (newstodate): Serbia will be targeted by more airlines setting up Belgrade on their route maps.
First newcomer will be the Romanian carrier Tarom that will introduce flights from Bucharest to Belgrade from December 7, 2009.
Next to come is the Slovenian carrier Adria Airways from March 1, 2010, with flights from Ljubljana to Belgrade, followed by the Croatian airline Croatia Airlines that will launch flights on a new route from Zagreb to Belgrade from May 1, 2010.
The significant increase of regional traffic in the Balkan region also serves as an indication of the growing normalization of the region after a long period of isolation in the aftermath of the wars in the 90'ies.
