Nov 02, 2009 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Sakhalin Airlines has taken delivery of a Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
The aircraft was formerly operated by the Danish carrier Sterling European Airlines, now Cimber Sterling, and has gone through a cabin refurbishment and implementation of additional equipment in connection with a maintenance check by the Lithuanian company FL Technics at Vilnius before delivery.
The aircraft is taken on a lease arrangement and is the carrier's first aircraft of this type.
