Noiv 11, 2009 (newstodate): Effective from November 1, 2009, the Russian aviation supervision authority has ordered all air traffic to be suspended at Kotlas Airport, in the Arkhangelsk Oblast.
The decision to due to the expiry of the airport's safety maintenance certificate, and operations will not be resumed before a new certification process has proved that the airport is capable of meeting all aviation safety procedures.
