Nov 23, 2009 (newstodate): The Slovak carrier DanubeWings will soon make its debut in the skies over London.
Effective from December 1, 2009, the airline will launch flights between northern Slovakia's Poprad-Tatry Airport and London Luton Airport, offering three weekly rotations on the route to be served with ATR-72 aircraft.
Set up in 2008, DanubeWings currently operates a fleet of three ATR-72, and one Boeing 737-400 aircraft will be added from December 1, 2009, on a lease arrangement with the Czech carrier CSA.
