Nov 30, 2009 (newstodate): With the first flight from Oslo Gardermoen still slated for December 5, 2009, the new Norwegian US freighter service from Oslo has already added a new destination.
-The prime routing remains twice-weekly flights from Oslo to New York and Miami, returning from Miami to Oslo. But we have added Amsterdam on the return flight from Miami because of a contract to lift South American flower exports to Europe, says Paer Wahlstedt, Scandinavian AirBridge AB managing director, the carrier's GSA for Sweden, Finland and the Baltic markets.
-As our new freighter service gains momentum we will respond to similar business cases as they arise, adding new destinations when possible and provided they contribute positively to profitable operations.
-We may also add one or two more weekly frequencies, either in the USA or elsewhere based on similar considerations. Sundt Atlanta Skybridge will be a flexible carrier with full capability to serve its customers and go where they want us to, says Mr Wahlstedt.
