Nov 26, 2009 (newstodate): Bulgaria's Sofia Airport is generating more low-cost traffic.
Starting in February, 2010, the Austrian LCC Niki plans to launch daily flights between Sofia and Vienna, using Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
Following that, the Hungarian LCC WIZZ Air plans to start new operations at Sofia from May 22, 2010, offering flights to Madrid, Paris, Frankfurt and Bologna three times weekly, also with Airbus A320 aircraft, in addition to the existing routes from Sofia to London, Rome, Dortmund, Varna, Barcelona, Valencia, Milan, and Brussels.
