Nov 05, 2009 (newstodate): One airport not complaining about crisis in the cargo industry is Latvia's Riga Airport.
All through 2009, the airport has recorded positive growth, and October 2009 was no exception, with an increase by 24.2 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 889 tonnes.
The first 10 months of this year have thus accumulated at total of 7,368 tonnes of cargo - an increase by 18.7 percent.
For the airport's leading operator, Latvian carrier airBaltic, October 2009 proved another month of records, too, with volumes hitting and even overtaking 700 tonnes for the first time.
