Nov 02, 2009 (newstodate): Effective from the beginning of 2010, Finnair plans to concentrate of training centre operations in a new fully-owned subsidiary, Finnair Flight Academy Ltd.
The new company will provide Finnair, its biggest customer, with training and competence development services, with a focus on maintenance of
certification and aircraft type training for flight personnel, and some 60 staff members from the Finnair Group's different training units will transfer to the new company.
The company, managed by Mikko K. Salminen, will also offer flight training services to external customers.
