Nov 02, 2009 (newstodate): October 2009 brought little over-all comfort to Billund Airport, where air cargo volumes were down 15.3 percent, y-o-y, to 4,254 tonnes.
Thanks to a recovery in imports, the result was, however, better than the figure for the first 10 months of this year where total volumes dropped 21.5 percent, y-o-y, to 37,609 tonnes.
In October imports fell 3.1 percent to 2,250 tonnes - a significant change against the 10 months' decline by 17.4 percent, to 17,612 tonnes.
Exports are still in a limbo, declining 25.8 percent in October to 2,004 tonnes, and 24.8 percent, to 19,997 tonnes, during January-October 2009.
