Nov 19, 2009 (newstodate): The Croatian government is reportedly mulling plans for new airport regulations that will limit the country's international non-Schengen traffic to only three airports.
The regulations will designate the airports of Zagreb, Dubrovnik and Split to retain international airport status, while the country's other airport currently open to international traffic, including the airports of Pula, Rijeka, Osijek and Zadar, would be limited to handling of only Schengen traffic.
If the new airport regulations are confirmed by the government, they would take effect from Croatia's entry into EU, probably by 2010 already.
