Nov 12, 2009 (newstodate): Starting from this autumn, the negative growth in cargo volumes at Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport has been easing.
In September, the airport handled a total of 6,806 tonnes of cargo and mail, down 7.3 percent, y-o-y, but better than the accumulated decrease at 16 percent for the first nine months of this year, to a total of 58,760 tonnes.
In 2008 the airport handled a total of 91,487 tonnes of shipments, a decrease by six percent compared to the record year 2007, including 62,456 tonnes of cargo, down 3.1 percent, and 29,031 tonnes of mail, down 7.2 percent.
