Nov 09, 2009 (newstodate): All signals are now indicating a "go" for the first flight by new Norwegian carrier, Sundt Atlanta Skybridge on November 28, 2009.
-We are definitely on tracks, and the first flight remains planned for this date as originally scheduled, says Paer Wahlstedt Scandinavian AirBridge AB managing director.
Scandinavian AirBridge has been appointed GSA for the new carrier in Sweden, Finland and the Baltic markets, while the airline will manage and handle sales in Norway on its own.
-In the Swedish market shipments for Sundt Atlanta Skybridge will be collected at the airports of Malmoe, Gothenburg, Jonkoping and Stockholm for trucking into Oslo Gardermoen Airport.
-Depending on the volumes, the RFS provider will probably route the trucks from Malmoe in the South to Gothenburg and from there to Jonkoping before heading for Oslo, while shipments from Stockholm will be trucked directly to Oslo.
-If warranted by the volumes, pallets may be built at Jonkoping and then trucked to Norway, says Mr Wahlstedt.
