Oct 14, 2009 (newstodate): Within a few days, work will start on construction of a new passenger terminal at Ukraine's Luhansk International Airport.
The new 73,00 sq m terminal will have 10 jetbridges to serve passengers' embarkation and disembarkation, and the airport's passenger handling capacity will increase from today's 300 to 3,100 passengers per hour.
Also in the plans for the airport in Ukraine's Donetsk region is an extension of the existing 2,840m runway, a platform to accommodate up to 120 aircraft, and a new ATC tower.
The new terminal will be commissioned by 2012.
