Oct 21, 2009 (newstodate): US carrier Delta Air Lines has announced its decision to launch a new route to the Danish market from next summer.
Effective from May 28, 2010, the airline will operate a daily rotation between Copenhagen and New York JFK, using Boeing 757-200 aircraft on the route, providing direct transfer options to its range of US domestic flights.
Delta, that is already online at Copenhagen with a daily flight to Atlanta, will compete with SAS and Continental that also operate between Copenhagen and New York, albeit into Newark Airport.
From the same date, Delta Air Lines will also introduce flights from Stockholm, Sweden, from Atlanta to New York JFK.
From the summer schedule, Delta Air Lines will thus operate daily flights from both Copenhagen and Stockholm to New York and Atlanta, respectively.
