Oct 23, 2009 (newstodate): Ukraine's Lutsk Airport, in the country's Volyn province, is to be put up for sale.
The provincial government will sell a part of the stake in the airport, with several strings attached to a successful bid.
Strings comprise the obligation to take over a significant debt burden within three months, repayment of means earlier allocated to the airport's reconstruction, and the construction within 18 months of a new passenger terminal.
Lutsk Airport, that will serve as a back-up for Lviv Airport, has one operational and recently-modernized 1,660m runway and is now only used by smaller aircraft.
