Oct 30, 2009 (newstodate): Work has now started to upgrade Ukraine's Ivano Frankivsk International Airport.
Comprised by the project is a reconstruction of the airport's taxiway system, and a new apron with aircraft parking stands will be constructed.
Also the international passenger facilities will be modernized.
The airport is slated to receive traffic re-directed from Lviv Airport from April, 2010, when this airport will be temporarily closed during construction works.
Other means have been secured to continue the modernisation of Ivano Frankivsk International Airport from 2010, including implementation of new infrastructure and yet-unspecified equipment.
