Oct 22, 2009 (newstodate): After a chaotic period in the aftermath of Russian carrier KD Avia's bankruptcy, Russia's Kaliningrad Khabbrovo Airport is seeing a new future unfolding.
The Russian airport investment company Novaport has reportedly announced its decision to acquire 25 percent of the shares in the airport, and will develop it as a regular regional airport, to be served by a range of Russian and other airlines.
Novaport already controls six other Russian airport, including Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk, Chita, Barnaul, Tver, Bryansk and Astrakhan.
