Oct 19, 2009 (newstodate): The large and ever-increasing volumes of Norwegian fresh salmon exports to the international markets do not seem to weigh heavily at the country's Oslo Gardermoen Airport.
In September, the airport handled a total of 6,806 tonnes of cargo, down 7.6 percent, y-o-y.
International air cargo dropped by 7.7 percent, to 4,023 tonnes, while domestic cargo was down 7.3 percent to 2,783 tonnes.
For the first nine months of this year, the airport has thus handled a total of 58,760 tonnes of cargo, a decline by 16 percent, y-o-y.
