Oct 21, 2009 (newstodate): Lithuania and Singapore have signed a new air services agreement to boost air links between Europe and Asia.
Under the Open Skies agreement, Singapore carriers have full flexibility to operate any number of passenger and cargo flights between both countries as well as beyond Lithuania to any city in the world, without any restrictions on frequency, capacity and aircraft type, and the same rights apply to carriers from the Lithuanian side.
The traffic rights exchanged under the agreement also allow carriers of both countries to tap on traffic from third countries to improve the viability of scheduled flights.
