Oct 02, 2009 (newstodate): Pending final approvals from aviation authorities, a new Scandinavian carrier will launch low-cost intercontinental flights from Stockholm and Oslo from 2010.
The new carrier, FEEL Air will have its HQ in Oslo, Norway, and plans are to introduce low-cost flights from Stockholm Arlanda and Oslo Gardermoen to Bangkok and New York from 2010 already.
The new carrier will benefit from today's comparatively low aircraft leasing rates, but so far no details concerning choice of aircraft type or fleet size have yet been published.
Behind the airline are Kai Holmberg, former VIA Travel Group CEO and Otto Lagarhus, former chief executive in the Norwegian Luftfartstilsynet and SAS.
