Oct 20, 2009 (newstodate): Russia's Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport is mulling plans for dedicating facilities to the increasing number of low-cost operators flying into Moscow.
As Aeroflot is moving its domestic traffic from the airport's Terminal A to the new Terminal D from next year, Terminal A could be dedicated to low-cost traffic.
The final decision will probably be made by the end of October, and if carried through, Sheremetyevo Airport would be the first Russian airport to open a dedicated low-cost terminal, ahead of Moscow's two other leading airport that are also considering ways to deal with the issue.
