Oct 23, 2009 (newstodate): Four bidders have responded in the opening of the tender for privatization of the Kosovo Republic's Pristina International Airport.
The four participants are Fraport IC, the French company Bouygues Egis, the French company Limac Airport de Lyon, and an Albanian-Israeli company Riviera LR Groups.
These participants have registered for participation and are now being evaluated in a process expected to be completed by the end of this month.
A shortlist will then emerge from the evaluation, and the successful candidates will then participate in the eventual run-up to be completed by the turn of this year.
Pristina International Airport has a 2,500 m runway and existing facilities also include a 2,500 sq.m. cargo terminal, operating since December, 2002, with a daily capacity at 100 tonnes.
