Oct 29, 2009 (newstodate): DAT, Danish Air Transport is reporting business at full throttle, but prefers sitting on the fence as for further fresh market initiatives.
-Nearly all our aircraft are in full production, including one ATR 72, one MD87 and one ATR 42FF on ad-hoc charters, and the rest operating our route network and on ACMI contracts with customers in Europe and Central Africa, says Ole Christensen, DAT VP sales.
-But while the business is performing well at DAT, we have no intentions to engage in new ventures, be it in the Baltics or elsewhere. Instead we will watch developments in the European market as the winter unfolds. We have probably not seen the last of airline collapses and down-scalings, so we prefer to watch and wait before making new moves, says Mr Christensen.
