Oct 21, 2009 (newstodate): Doubts have been cast over Kazakh carrier Air Astana's orders for delivery of Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
The second CIS airline to order the new aircraft, Air Astana placed orders in 2007 for delivery of three Boeing 787 plus options for a further three aircraft from 2014.
As the delivery date has been pushed back several times during the troubled aircraft's production program, the aircraft may no longer be in place to match the carrier's strategic plans.
So far no official decision to cancel the order has been announced, though.
