Oct 16, 209 (newstodate): Following an inspection, Lithuanian ground handling company Baltic Ground Services has received the IATA Fuel Quality Pool recognition.
-By choosing the fuel supplier at the Vilnius International Airport the IFQP airlines members will be able to avoid separate inspection of our company, instead applying directly to IFQP for information, says Saulius Batavicius, Baltic Ground Services CEO.
BGS started its own into-plane fueling operations in February 2009 and was granted the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations Registration in May 2009, following the successful completion of a comprehensive audit of all ground-handling operations at Vilnius International Airport.
The Lithuanian company was the first European ground handling company to receive the ISAGO certificate.
Among the company's customers are Finnair, LOT, Aer Lingus, Skyways, Brussels Airlines, flyLAL charters, emergency international transportation and logistics company DHL.
