Jan 20, 2009 (newstodate): Effective from January 1, 2009, The Uzbek State Inspection for flight safety supervision, Gosavianadzor, has started implementation of a plan to update the country's flight safety management system.
Under the plan, all Uzbek air companies and air servicing organizations must introduce a unified flight safety management system.
Uzbekistan will also improve the country's air space structure, aiming at achieving harmonization with neighboring countries.
The work is based on a phased introduction of ICAO's air navigation plan for CNS/ATM systems, which will increase traffic of aircraft of foreign countries via airlanes through Uzbekistan's airspace.
