Jan 30, 2009 (newstodate): European Transport Management, ETM, part of the West Air Europe Group, has signed a lease contract with BAE Systems Regional Aircraft for an additional ATP Freighter.
The aircraft is configured as an E-Class bulk freighter and was delivered to ETM in mid-December, 2008, for operation at one of the airlines in the West Air Europe Group.
This was the eighth transaction in nine years by BAE Systems Regional Aircraft with West Air.
The West Air Europe Group comprises two airlines, West Air Sweden and West Air Luxembourg, as well as ETM, the aircraft trading arm of the Group and also European Aviation Maintenance, EAM, which is based on the Isle of Man.
West Air Europe and UK-based Atlantic Airlines announced in late October their intention to merge, and when that is finalised, Atlantic Airlines will become a third airline within the rebranded West Atlantic Group.
West Atlantic will then be by far the largest European regional air cargo carrier with a fleet including up to 42 ATP aircraft.
