Jan 21, 2009 (newstodate): Investment has now been secured for a major expansion of Russia's Vladivostok International Airport.
Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport has pledged to inject 150 mio USD in the project to mould Vladivostok International Airport into a passenger and air cargo hub, and foreign investors will be invited to take part in the development.
In the plans is construction of a new terminal capable of handling four to five mio passengers annually, and construction of a new air cargo terminal.
The Russian state will support the projects with construction of a new runway and other airport infrastructure.
