Jan 30, 2009 (newstodate): Russia's S7 Sibir Airlines has now confirmed its cancellation of orders for 15 Boeing 787 aircraft and purchase orders for a further 10 units.
S7, the first Russian airline to order the Dreamliner in May, 2007, was to receive its first aircraft in 2014.
The carrier is still interested in the Dreamliner but will seek a lease arrangement instead.
The order cancellation leaves Aeroflot as Russia's only Dreamliner customer.
Aeroflot placed its order for 22 Boeing 787 aircraft in June, 2007, and is to receive the aircraft from 2014 when the first of 22 Airbus A350 aircraft are also to appear with the airline, provided delivery dates for both aircraft types hold.
