Jan 9, 2009 (newstodate): Turkish operator TAV's take-over of two Macedonian airport as winner of last year's tender, has been postponed.
Prompted by the effects from the on-gpoing world financial crisis, the deadline has been pushed to August, 2009, from the start of this year as earlier agreed.
On september 29, 2008, TAV Macedonia DOOEL Skopje and the Ministry of Transport and Communication of Macedonia signed the 20-year contract for concession and operation of Skopje Alexander the Great Airport, Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport, and the construction of the New Cargo Airport in Shtip.
TAV has pledged to invest around 200 mio euro in these projects.
