Jan 26, 2009 (newstodate): The demise of AiRUnion and KrasAir in 2008 has brought about a change of ownership in the Hungarian carrier Malev.
New owner is now Russia's state-owned investment and development bank, Vnesheconombank that has taken over the 99.95 percent stake formerly held by KrasAir that acquired the airline through a tender closed in February, 2007.
Vnesheconombank will reportedly work together with Aeroflot to expand Malev's route network in Russia as as adding new routes to the Far East, including China.
