Jan 30, 2009 (newstodate): The modernisation and development of Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport is progressing in full compliance with the time table.
In 2008 the airport completed the planned works in the Terminal E building, major repairs of the terminal of the Sheremetyevo-2, and expansion of the apron of Sheremetyevo-1.
Sheremetyevo also improved the engineering infrastructure of the airport, developed IT technologies, modernised transports, and acquired new GSE equipment.
In the plans for 2009 is the completion of construction of the new Terminal E and its integration with the Terminal 2, while the Terminal 3 and the airport railway station will constitute the basic investment priorities for the airport.
Sheremetyevo Airport has also completed work on the airport's master plan till 2030, and the details will soon be presented.
