Jan 9, 2009 (newstodate): Despite decreases in the last last two months of 2008, Estonia's Tallinn Airport still managed to see its full-year total volumes up by 83.9 percent, y-o-y, to 41,867 tonnes.
With 39,651 tonnes and growing 94.1 percent in 2008, the bulk of the total volume was export shipments, namely ex-China cargo destined for Russia and transited at the airport.
After months of volumetric increases by 100-250 percent, y-o-y, November and December were marked by the effects from the global economic crisis, with declines by 15.5 and 31.1 percent, respectively.
