Jan 14, 2009 (newstodate): The Georgian carrier Sky Georgia has postponed the launch of new routes from Tbilisi to Kazakhstan and Hungary.
The new flights from Tbilisi to Aktau, Kazakhstan, and Budapest, Hungary, were originally slated for inauguration in December 15, 2008, but will not be opened until March 28, 2009.
Behind the decision is the effects from Georgia's clash with Russia last autumn, but the generally slow economic development in the market has also made the launch of new routes less viable.
