Jan 22, 2009 (newstodate): Danish cargo GSA, ProActive Airline Services is seeing good results from its work with Delta Airlines, online at Copenhagen and Stockholm airports.
Delta named ProActive Airline Services its GSA in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland in April, 2008, after having been formerly served by AF/KLM Cargo.
-We are now fully up to budgets after nine months with Delta as to tonnage and cargo space utilization, says Bo Seidelin, ProActive Airline Services managing director.
-What is maybe even more encouraging is the fact that when we took over, the Danish traffic primarily consisted of shipments to Atlanta from eight or nine forwarders. Now the customer base has broadened to 45-48 forwarders and offices sending shipments not only to Atlanta, but to destinations beyond in USA as well as in South America.
-Rate levels are, as everywhere else, vulnerable, so we are of course looking for better times ahead, says Mr Seidelin.
