Jan 16, 2009 (newstodate): As the Czech carrier CSA is preparing for announcing the privatisation tender details by next week, Russia's Aeroflot has confirmed its interest in participation.
But as the Czech Republic is member of the EU, the carrier is required to maintain majority ownership by a company within EU, so Aeroflot will have to team up with a partner to secure the EU identity of the Czech carrier after privatisation.
No such partnership has so far been announced, but Aeroflot has reportedly already secured cooperation with an EU partner to bid for CSA.
