The airport handled 49 percent of the total Baltic passenger volume, or 3.69 mio passengers.
Second, at two mio passengers, came Lithuania's Vilnius International Airport with 27 percent of the total Baltic market, while Estonia's Tallinn International Airport, at 1.8 mio passengers, came third with 24 percent of the total Baltic volume.
Cargo-wise, the Baltic situation looked different in 2008.
Estonia's Tallinn International Airport handled a total of 41,867 tonnes, Latvia's Riga International Airport handled a total of 7,668 tonnes, and Lithuania's Vilnius Intrenational Airport landed at a total of 5,718 tonnes.
