Jan 21, 2009 (newstodate): Sweden's Gothenburg Landvetter Airport has now reported its cargo volumes for the first 11 months of 2008.
During the period, the airport handled a total of 45,181 tonnes of cargo, a decline by 19 percent, y-o-y.
Imports suffered the most, down 22 percent to 22,695 tonnes, while exports also dropped 15 percent to 22,486 tonnes.
In November 2008 alone, cargo volumes fell 14 percent to 4,027 tonnes, including 1,958 tonnes of imports, down 20 percent, and 2,069 tonnes of exports, down seven percent y-o-y.
The decline was felt in every month of 2008, with Feburary and March falling as low as 28 percent, y-o-y.
