Sep 10, 2008 (newstodate): Within nine months, or before April, 2009, all procedures leading up to the full amalgamation of Russia's new mega airline will be completed.
Following on the deep financial crisis that hit the airlines of AiRUnion and brought about severy discuptions of Russia's domestic air services, the Moscow government-owned Atlant-Soyuz will merge with AiRUnion member airlines Rossiya Russian Airlines, Kavminvodyavia, Vladivostok Avia, Orenburg and Saratov airlines.
The projected carrier will be based at Moscow Vnukovo Airport that has already taken over all traffic by AiRUnion, formerly handled at Moscow Comodedovo Airport.
